A woman was attacked in downtown Winnipeg early Saturday morning

A woman remains in hospital after being assaulted in downtown Winnipeg early Saturday morning.

Just after 6 a.m., police officers responded to the 600 block of Main Street and found a woman who had been stabbed.

He was taken to the hospital in an unstable condition and later stabilized

The investigation was initiated by the Department of Combating Major Crimes.
