A Toronto pub is closing and will soon become something else

A Toronto pub has announced it's closing at the end of this month, but something new is already on the horizon.

Little Italy's Commoner Bar Room, a clean and cozy spot for high-end fare, has announced they're closing after four years at the location, but it's not all bad news.

“After four wonderful years, our College Street location will be closing its doors on April 27th,” read a statement on Instagram about the closing.

Despite most closing announcements, this closing actually brings exciting news for The Commoner and its fans — the owners are hanging on to the space and “reimagining” it into something new.

Little Italy's location is the Commoner restaurant in Roncesvalles, so the new concept shows off the College Street location in a whole new way.

According to The Commoner , the new restaurant (details of which are currently under wraps) should open in early May, so Little Italy residents won't have to wait too long to see a new restaurant from familiar faces.

In the meantime, you have until April 27 to grab one last bite at The Commoner Bar Room, and the original Roncesvalles location isn't going anywhere — at least not yet.
