18-year-olds accused of shooting at Laval home: SQ

Two suspects appeared in Laval court Saturday afternoon via video conference in connection with a shooting at a residence on rue de Nenouphars in Laval's Sainte-Dorothe neighborhood.

The two men were arrested on Friday night by Laval police and the Major Crimes Unit of the Surete du Québec (SQ).

“On the night of April 13, around midnight, two suspects opened fire at a residence on rue Nenuphar in Laval before fleeing in a vehicle,” SQ spokesman Stephane Tremblay said. “They were quickly located and arrested by officers of the Laval Police Department.”

SQ says no one was injured in the incident. Police officers seized firearms from the vehicle used by the suspects.

Eighteen-year-old Bonyad Ghulam Ali and Adam Hamouchi, both of Laval, are accused of firing a firearm. They remained in custody.
