Toronto stabbing man charged with 2nd degree murder – Toronto

Toronto police say a man who was stabbed to death earlier this week is facing charges of second-degree murder.

On April 6, two men got into an argument at a shopping plaza near Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue in North York, police said.

During the fight, police say one man stabbed the other with a “sharp-edged” weapon.

Despite lifesaving efforts, 51-year-old Jolly An of Toronto died from his injuries, police said.

“It was a violent altercation,” said Det. Sergeant. Brandon Price told reporters.

In an update Friday, police charged 67-year-old Alfonso Corpuz with second-degree murder.
