John Sommer, 84, of Winnipeg, formerly of Rosenfeld and Alton, died Saturday, April 6, in Winnipeg. He is survived by his wife Erica, 3 daughters and their families. His 1 sister died in infancy.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death on April 6, 2024 of John Harold Sommer of Winnipeg, formerly of Rosenfeld and Alton. John is survived by his wife of 58 years Erica, daughters Lisa (John); Christa (Chris); Rachel (Stewart); grandchildren Noah, Heath, Piper and Finn. John was predeceased by his parents Edward and Elinor Sommer and sister Connie.
John farmed most of his life and in retirement enjoyed spending winters in Arizona and spending time on the lake with his family. John enjoyed socializing with friends, helping people, and enjoying a good meal with family and friends. John will be forever loved and remembered.
