CF Montréal will host Cincinnati at home in 2024

MONTREAL – After playing the first six games of 2024 on the road, CF Montréal takes on Cincinnati FC at Stade Saputo this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (MLS Season Pass, BPM Sports, CJAD 800).

The Montrealers returned home with a 2-3-1 record. The club's next win will be its 150th in MLS history (149-175-79).

Historically, the Montreal club has a record of 7-2-3 in their home opener (2012-2023), with a total of 22 goals scored and 15 goals conceded. Heading into the season opener at Stade Saputo, the club had an all-time record of 6-4-1 (20 goals scored, 18 goals conceded).

FC Cincinnati comes to Montreal undefeated this season (2-0-1), but suffered their first loss of the year to the New York Red Bulls last Saturday at TQL Stadium (2-1). The 2023 Supporters' Shield winners are still led in attack by midfielder 2023 Landon Donovan MLS MVP Luciano Acosta. He leads his club in scoring with two goals and three assists in seven games so far.

The Blue-blanc-noir Has a 3-4-2 overall record against Ohio, and a 2-2-1 record at home in particular. In the last meeting between the clubs on September 20, Cincinnati held on for a point in a 1–1 draw where Luciano Acosta scored a penalty in stoppage time. In the 53rd minute, Mahala Opoku opened the scoring for the Montrealers.

As part of Montreal's homecoming, statues of Captain Samuel Piette will be distributed to the first 7,500 fans at Saputo Stadium on Saturday when the stadium gates open at 6:00 p.m. The club advises fans to arrive early and use public transport to avoid traffic and roadworks around the stadium.
