The Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel will be open this weekend in both directions, between Souligny Avenue and Route 132, Friday 11 p.m. to Saturday 8 a.m., Saturday 11 p.m. to Sunday 9 a.m., and Sunday 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. will be closed until Monday. The freeway entrances will be closed 30 minutes prior to the freeway, and Sullinnie Avenue will also be closed eastbound over the freeway. Souligny westbound will also be closed between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 8:00 a.m. Saturday from rue Honore-Beaugrand to rue Dixon. The overnight closure will continue until April 22 between Route 132 and Sherbrooke Street. It closes on weekday nights from 9:00 p.m. to 5 am

Highway 19

The Papineau-LeBlanc Bridge connecting Montreal and Laval will be closed over the weekend from 10:00 p.m. Friday to 4:30 a.m. Monday. In the north direction, it closes between Boulevard Henri-Bourassa. and Boulevard de la Concorde. The southbound freeway will be closed from Highway 440 to Boulevard Henri-Bourassa, although the service road will remain open to Boulevard Saint-Martin.

136 routes

Eastbound Ville-Marie Expressway 6 (St. Laurent Blvd. and Berry St.) will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for City of Montreal work at Place de Montréal.

Sherbrooke St.

The street will be one lane eastbound and two lanes westbound between Prudhomme Avenue and Decary Avenue from 7 a.m. Saturday to 3 p.m. Monday for water main work at Notre-Dame-de-Grace.

Réseau express metro

REM service will begin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday to allow the system to refresh. Shuttle buses run from 5:30 to 7:30.

Persistent disorders

  • Highway 20: Exit for Sources Blvd. Highway 20 northbound will remain closed until May 4.
  • Highway 520: At Hickmore Street, the highway will be detoured in both directions with service lanes.

Upcoming

Quebec's transport ministry also announced this week that the spring thaw period, which will see restrictions on heavy goods vehicles, will lift in southern Quebec, beginning at 11:59 p.m. Friday.
