Preview: Winnipeg Jets @ Dallas Stars

Time: 7:00 evening hours CST

After leaving Nashville with an undeserved 2 points, the Winnipeg Jets could face an even tougher test tonight when they visit the Dallas Stars. Things didn't go well for the Peggers when the two franchises met this season, with Winnipeg losing 3-2 and 2-0 at the Canadian Life Center, followed by a 4-1 loss at Texas.

As for the tournament, the Jets have no chance of catching the Stars for first place in the Central, but a win tonight would drop points to the Colorado Avalanche when the two teams meet on Saturday. Dallas will have a chance to officially lock down the 1Art Position yourself by scoring 2 points against the Jets at American Airlines Center Rick Bowness and the company should expect tough competition.

There's no news yet on possible roster changes for Winnipeg, but with at least one day off between their final regular-season games, the coaching staff could choose to ride. Connor Hellebuyck to the finish line. I'm not suggesting it's a good idea, but past history makes me think he starts at least 3 out of 4. Laurent Brossoit The Buckeyes are well rested tonight to prepare for a more important weekend clash with the Avs. After allowing Hellebuyck to pitch two games in Nashville, it would be best to go with Brossoit tonight.

I won't dwell too much on the Dallas Stars in this preview, but I can assure you that this is a solidly built franchise with no weaknesses. As the stats below will show you, Texas' NHL team is good at scoring, stopping goals, and has a top-performing special teams unit. Then you add in the fact that the Stars have lost just 1 of their last 12 games and you start to see how tough a challenge this will be for the Winnipeg Jets.

The fans were disappointed after the last game (despite winning the game), here's my quiz to see if the Winnipeg Jets will get the grade going into tonight's game.

Tune in tonight to see if the Winnipeg Jets get a pass or fail tonight in Dallas. I really want to Rutger McGroarty To join the Jets organization as soon as possible, I think I wish him and his Michigan teammates the best of luck tonight against Boston College in the NCAA Final Four. Win your championship, then come and bring your intensity to the Jets.

Enjoy your day before Winnipeg has a chance to ruin it with another poor performance.
