Montreal musician teaches positivity through song

Montreal-based musician Francine Jarry blends her spiritual resources with her extensive musical experience to find a unique way to teach well-being to both children and adults. Just as children use music to learn their ABCs, Jarry hopes his songs and music e-books will help them learn self-esteem.

Jarry's early involvement in music included playing the classical piano. How that translated into a music career “was a bit of a fluke,” he says, but he was lucky enough to land a few record deals.

Jarry says that after a career that has taken him from winning music competitions, to performing solo and with bands in and out of the recording studio, to Ontario, New York City and beyond, he's held seminars on self-development, wellness and psychotherapy. to think

“(The classes) were giving affirmations, and I said, 'These are so boring to say, why don't I put them to music?' I said. That's how it started, and then the music started coming to me,” the singer, songwriter and producer told CityNews.

He added: “They teach kids A, B, C, D, E, F, G … you remember it that way. So I took very simple positive concepts of self-esteem and well-being, self-empowerment – and put them into songs to remember.”

At the age of 82, Jarry has released more than 22 albums, which he has made into nearly 150 YouTube videos, including more than 250 songs. Some of his recent discography includes: Walk With The Rainbow, It's Up To Me If I Want To Be Happy, and If You Love This Planet.

The musician hopes his messages will resonate with parents, students and teachers.

“It's very difficult to get into schools, because the workload of the teachers is so high, it's too much, too much work. That's why I'm doing what I'm doing now,” he said. “I always thought that when there was an assembly in schools, the whole school would sing.”

In addition, music lovers can find Jarry's music on streaming platforms, Youtube and rainbowmusic.ca.
