Here are the Montreal road closures scheduled for the weekend

Drivers in and around Montreal should not expect major construction-related closures this weekend.

Specifically, the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel and the Papineau-Leblanc bridge between Montreal and Laval will be closed at different times.

Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel (A-25)

From 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Saturday; The following closures are in effect from Saturday 11pm to Sunday 9am and Sunday 10pm to Monday 5am:

To the south

  • Between Montreal and Longueuil, between Highway 25 southbound, Exit 4 (Avenue Sulinny, downtown) and the entrance to rue l'Île-Charron.

To the north

  • Between Longueuil and Montreal, northbound on Highway 25, westbound on Highway 20 between Exit 90 (R-132, La Prairie, Varennes) and East Notre Dame entrance.

As a result, the following are the default closures:

  • Entrances Tellier and des Futailles (closed for a long time).
  • Route-132 East and West ramps (Exit 89-N) to Highway 25 North.
  • Entrance on rue l'Île-Charron.

Warning:

  • From Monday, April 15 through Sunday, the overnight closure of Highway 25 southbound will be to Exit 5 (R-138, Hochelaga St., Sherbrooke St.) instead of 4th.

Avenue Souligny

Friday 10:30 p.m. to Saturday 8 a.m.; Saturday 22:30 to Sunday 9:00; and from 9:30 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, the following closures will be in effect:

To the east

  • In Montreal (Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district), Sulinney avenue east, between Dixon and Honore-Beaugrand streets.

The following closures will be in effect from 10:30 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday:

To the west

  • Westbound on Sulinney Avenue between Honore-Beaugrand and Dixon.

Papineau-Leblanc Bridge (A-19)

The following closures will be in effect from 10pm on Friday until 4.30am on Monday:

  • Between Laval and Montreal (Ahuntsic-Cartierville area), Highway 19 in both directions at the Papineau-Leblanc Bridge.

As a result, the default closings from 9.30pm are:

  • Highway 440 East and West entrance ramps of Highway 19 South.
  • Boulevards Saint-Martin, de la Concorde, and Levesque Boulevards Entrances to Highway 19 South.

Ville-Marie Expressway (R-136)

The following closures will be in effect from 10:00 p.m. Friday until 5:00 a.m. Monday:

To the east

  • In Montreal (Ville-Marie District), exit 6 (Saint-Laurent Boulevard, Berry Street) on the Ville-Marie Expressway (R-136).

East Sherbrooke Street

  • In Montreal (Côte-de-Neige, Notre-Dame-de-Grace districts), two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane on Sherbrooke Street between Prud'homme Avenue and Decary Boulevard from 7 a.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Monday will be open. evening hours

Highway 20 (souvenir)

  • Work resumed on April 8 on Highway 20 (du Souvenir) at the intersection des Sources in Pointe-Claire. Work will continue until the end of 2024.

Highway 520 and Hickmore Rd

  • Work on the flyovers on Highway 520 (de la Côte-de-Lisse) above Hickmore Street resumed on March 25.

REM (Reseau Express Metro)

  • On Saturday, April 13, REM service will be unavailable between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. due to a system upgrade. Buses will operate during this period.

Laviolette Bridge (A-55) (Trois-Rivières and Becancourt)

  • Between 8pm on Friday and 6.30am on Monday, the bridge between Trois-Rivières and Becancourt will have two out of four lanes closed, meaning one lane will be open in each direction.
