Cole Caufield scored his 25th goal and added an assist to lead the Montreal Canadiens to a 3-2 overtime loss against the New York Islanders on Thursday at UBS Arena.

Kyle Palmieri scored the game-winner at 1:17 of overtime to give Patrick Roy's club the win. New York was dealt a blow when Noah Dobson left the game with an injury in the first period and did not return.

The Hubs outshot the Isles 33-15. Sam Montembo made 30 saves in the loss.
