A resident of Calgary was identified as a homicide victim, and was found in a burned area

Police are investigating the death of Kyle Schuyling, 33, of Calgary, whose remains were found in a grass fire on April 3.

Alberta RCMP have confirmed that the human remains found by Rocky View County firefighters are 33-year-old Kyle Schuyling of Calgary, Alberta. The RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is investigating and needs the public's help. The death is treated as murder.

Cochrane RCMP and the Tsuut'ina National Police Service are investigating the homicide in Rocky View County.

According to RCMP, at approximately 5:30 a.m. on April 3, the Tsuutina National Fire Department responded to a grass fire near Route 40 and Township Road 241 in Rocky View County. When they put out the fire, human remains were found.
