A Ferris wheel at a Toronto mall crashed, killing 10 people on board

A Ferris wheel at Woodbine Mall malfunctioned, trapping about 10 people on board, according to Toronto Fire.

Crews were called to the shopping center in the area of ​​Rexdale Boulevard and Highway 27 just before 2 p.m. after the Ferris wheel became stuck.

Crews at the home tried to free the ride but were unsuccessful, according to Toronto Fire. Crews are now working on a plan to drop off the riders.

No injuries were reported.

According to the mall's website, the Ferris wheel is about 50 feet tall.
