Winnipeg Jets Whiteout Street Parties are back for this year's playoffs

This spring, downtown Winnipeg will once again become a sea of ​​white as the Jets Whiteout Street Party returns to town.

Six days after the Winnipeg Jets qualified for this year's NHL playoffsTrue North Sports + Entertainment has announced the return of a fan-favorite event.

About 5,000 Jets fans in white will gather outside the Canada Life Center on Donald Street to cheer on their team in the playoffs.

Tickets are $10, with half of the proceeds going to United Way Winnipeg. Tickets for the first round of street parties go on sale on April 17.

Three screens broadcast Jets games to fans. There will also be hosts, DJs and prizes.

Street parties are a partnership between the Government of Manitoba, the City of Winnipeg and Economic Development Winnipeg (EDW). The province will provide $75,000 per playoff round to support the sides, while EDW will contribute $50,000 from the Special Events Tourism Fund.

Winnipeg Whiteout Street Parties were first introduced in 2018.
