Toronto Weather: Showers will continue until Saturday morning

April showers bring May flowers, and that's especially true in Toronto, where rainy days are expected in the city before the weekend begins.

Rain and gusty winds will continue throughout Thursday, with a chance of thunderstorms tonight. According to Environment Canada, 10 to 20 millimeters of rain is expected in the city by Friday.

CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter said Thursday: “A broad wet spring storm will bring wet weather Wednesday night into Saturday morning.

Today's high will rise to 14 degrees, and in the evening it will rise to 9 degrees.

Coulter said the weekend will get off to a cool and breezy start after Saturday morning showers. There is a risk of afternoon rain on Sunday, with sunny and warm weather next week.

“On Monday, there will be some clouds, light winds will blow from the southeast, rising to 17 degrees. Tuesday brings morning sunshine. But expect rain in the evening and the temperature will rise to 14 degrees,” he said.

Rain is expected on Wednesday, with temperatures reaching 17 degrees.
