The Calgary Street Cleanup will begin on April 15, 2024

The City of Calgary will announce details of its street sweeping program on Thursday.

Street sweeping usually takes place from mid-April to July every year, and this year they start on April 15.

Housekeeping is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m

To help operators clean up efficiently, public vehicles are prohibited from parking in the areas until street sweeping begins. Vehicles parked in restricted areas can be ticketed for $80 to $120 or towed.

If you want to know when parking bans will be in place in your area, you can visit the City of Calgary website and search for your address.

You can also sign up for email and text alerts through the city's website or talk to a virtual agent who can help answer questions about the program.

According to officials, more than 16,000 kilometers of roads are cleaned during annual street sweeping operations.
