Scarborough carjacking: 4 charged

Four men from the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area are facing charges after allegedly stealing someone's car at gunpoint in Scarborough earlier this week.

Toronto police said they were called to the area of ​​Highway 401 north of Kennedy Road and Ellesmere Road on Tuesday.

According to police, the victim parked his car in the same area and saw two men in a red car nearby.

According to police, one suspect produced a handgun, took the victim's car keys, and demanded the victim leave the scene in the vehicle. They add that the red car of the suspects drove by.

Police said they quickly responded to the area and found three cars parked together – one belonging to the victim and the other a red car seen earlier.

Police officers saw four suspicious men near the cars and arrested them. They say that during the arrest, police found items of evidentiary value to the investigation, but police did not specify what they were.

In a statement released on Wednesday, police said four men – two from Milton, one from Hamilton and one from Bradford – are facing multiple charges.

Deandre Robinson, 21, and Alyan Shahbaz, 22, were charged with robbery with a firearm, possession of criminal property, sale of criminal property, etc. Shahbaz is also charged with failure to comply with a probation order.

Senduran Sutharan, 29, and Ravinder Mukher, 40, face six charges, including conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, possession of burglary tools and proceeds of crime.

The allegations have not been tested in court.
