Winnipeg Whiteout Street Parties will be held before and during the Winnipeg Jets home playoff game, with game dates and times to be announced in the coming weeks. Street parties will again be held on Donald Street between Portage Avenue and the Honorable Dale Haverchuk Road (Graham Avenue) adjacent to the Canada Life Centre. The party gates open two hours before puck drop, providing a fun, entertaining and safe environment for the 5,000 fans who support the Winnipeg Jets in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs to build a community.

Three big screens add to the energy and atmosphere of Jets games with additional entertainment at the Street Party, guest entertainers and DJs. Food and beverages are available for purchase from a variety of food trucks and concession stands. The Winnipeg Jets Promo Team will be on site with prizes and giveaways, and fans can pick up Whiteout merchandise at the Jets Gear booth.

Whiteout Street Parties will be ticketed events with $5 of every $10 ticket reinvested back into the community through United Way Winnipeg, an agency whose work supports those experiencing homelessness, substance abuse and mental health issues in our city. Proceeds from the 2019 and 2023 Winnipeg Whitetown Street Parties raised more than $212,000 for community agencies including N'Dinawemak – Place of Our Kin, Main Street Project, Velma House, Astum Api Niikinaahk and Bruce Oak Recovery Centre.

“Winnipeg's community spirit is incredible. Dollars raised from Whiteout Street Parties address drug addiction, homelessness and mental health issues in our city. Thanks to all the fans celebrating downtown; Your passion for the Jets will have a long-lasting positive impact on our community,” said Michael Richardson, president and CEO of United Way Winnipeg. “Our collaboration with Economic Development Winnipeg and True North is truly inspiring. I applaud both organizations for prioritizing the community and making a difference in the lives of Winnipeggers.”

The Manitoba government will contribute $75,000 per playoff round to support the teams. In addition, EDW will allocate $50,000 from the Special Events Tourism Fund to deliver the improved product.

“Our government is excited to be able to help bring the energy of the Jets Whiteout parties back to downtown Winnipeg,” said Premier Wab Kinew. “White parties not only benefit downtown businesses and raise money to support housing and mental health, they are a great way to come together as a community. I look forward to joining and leading the Jets to victory.”

“The Jets are back in the playoffs, the iconic Whiteout is back downtown – let's go!” said Mayor Scott Gillingham. “I can't wait to join thousands of Jets fans on the streets and at True North Field as we show the rest of the league how to celebrate the trophy.”
