News: Apply now for the Local Student Summer Leadership Program

The City Center for Indigenous Education is now accepting applications for the Indigenous Student Summer Leadership Program (ISSLP).

This paid summer program provides First Nation, Métis and Inuit students (ages 16 to 20) with leadership opportunities with Indigenous mentors in July 2024.

During the program, students:

• Get one Cooperative Education (Co-Op) loan with the option to participate in credit rehabilitation.

• Get extra support from local alumni coaches.

• Gain invaluable work experience with a placement that includes:
  • Nikibii Davadinna Gigwag,
  • Toronto Zoo,
  • TTC (Equity, Communications and Legal Departments),
  • Scotiabank,
  • Evergreen Brickworks and more!

Students can indicate their interest in the ISSLP by completing Google form. Upon confirmation, a local coach will contact you to follow up.
