Music artists from Montreal can listen to the program that opened Nelly Furtado

Dreaming of being the next Nelly Furtado, Jully Black, LU KALA or Haviah Mighty? If you're a Canadian female musician between the ages of 14 and 25, you can listen to the same program that helped launch their careers.

Honey Jam, a multicultural artist development program dedicated to empowering and promoting emerging female artists in Canada, is coming to Montreal for the first time for pop-up auditions.

“Montreal has such a vibrant arts and culture scene,” said Montreal-born Honey Jam founder and producer Ebony Rowe. “We can't wait to hear the city's incredible musical talent.”

Honey Jam enrollees have access to mentoring, education, vocal coaching, performance opportunities and networking opportunities with industry professionals.

Run by PhemPhat Entertainment Group, the 29-year-old program provides a platform for artistes to discover and develop their talents. Honey Jam organizes everything from songwriting camps to workshops and attends music industry conferences, artist talks and more. facilitates access.

“Honey Jam is an amazing program where you can discover, learn new skills and grow as an artist,” said June6xteen, a Montreal singer-songwriter who participated in Honey Jam 2022.

The pop-up audience in Montreal is open to female artists of all genres (as long as you're within the required age limit). Auditions will be held on May 5 at Le Minisère.

Selected artists will be invited to participate in Honey Jam's artist development program, culminating in a performance in front of music fans and industry representatives on August 29 in Toronto.
