CP Holiday Train Route 2022 arrives in Toronto

After two years of virtual concerts, the Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train is back, and it's rolling through Toronto this week.

The CP Holiday Train program features two holiday-themed trains traveling across Canada and the United States, spreading holiday cheer with live performances while raising money, food and awareness for local food banks.

On Tuesday, the train will stop at the CP Yard Office parking lot at 750 Runnymede Street, just south of West St. Clair Avenue.

The train arrives at 8:15 p.m., but Torontonians can enjoy a 30-minute concert with musicians Aisanaby and Tenil Townes starting at 8:30 p.m.

The show is free to attend, but CP encourages attendees to bring cash or non-perishable food items if possible.

“The CP Holiday Train, now in its 24th year, celebrates family, community and service to one another,” said CP President Keith Creel.

“We hope the train's twinkling lights and music will inspire celebrations across Canada and the U.S., reminding us of our responsibility to help those less fortunate this holiday season.”

Over the past two decades, Holiday Train has raised more than $21 million and five million pounds of food for community food banks across the continent.

Canadians far and wide can check the CP Holiday Train tracker to find out when and where the train will be in town and who will be performing that day.
