Colin D'Mello is a video reporter for CTV News Toronto, serving as the Queen's Parks Bureau Chief covering provincial politics for all local CTV News stations in Ontario. D'Mello has covered all levels of Canadian politics, including the 2018 Progressive Conservative leadership race and CTV News' 2018 Ontario provincial election special.

Shortly after joining CTV Toronto as a reporter in 2011, D'Mello began co-hosting the station's weekend broadcasts with Andrea Keys. He has covered major local news stories, including the April 2018 Toronto ice storm, the Yonge Street van attack, and the Bruce MacArthur case.

D'Mello began his career at the age of 19 when he moved to Moncton to work as an announcer at News 91.9. He then helped launch 1310 News in Ottawa before moving to Toronto, where he spent four years as an anchor and town hall reporter at 680 News. There, he was part of the station's award-winning coverage of the 2008 Sunrise Propane explosion, the 2009 Tamil protests that occupied the Gardiner Expressway, and the 2010 G20 protests.

D'Mello was born in Kuwait and lived there until 1998. He credits the events of the first Persian Gulf War for shaping his interest in storytelling. D'Mello is a graduate of Seneca College's broadcast journalism program. He is married and has two children.
