A Scarborough man has been arrested in Toronto in connection with a kidnapping investigation


Toronto police announced an arrest after investigating the abduction.

Officers were called to the area of ​​Kingston Road and McCowan Road on March 31 just after 12 p.m.

They say that the suspect kidnapped the victim and took him to an address in the district.

The victim told police the man tried to sexually assault her and then continued to assault her before forcing her into a car.

After that, the suspect drove for about two hours and when he quickly stopped, the victim managed to escape and called the police.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Curtis Beckless, 33, of Scarborough, was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of failure to comply, violation of probation, harassment by threatening another person, kidnapping, forcible confinement, sexual assault and battery.
