A baby is in critical condition after being hit by a car east of Montreal

A three-year-old boy is in critical condition after being hit by a van in Roxton Pond, 90 kilometers east of Montreal, on Wednesday around 4:15 p.m.

According to the Sûreté du Quebec, the child was hit by a car while driving at low speed on a private road or driveway.

No criminal charges have been filed yet, but police say an investigation is underway.
