Toronto police are looking for a suspect in the stabbing death of a man in North York – Toronto

Toronto police are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect wanted in the stabbing death of a 51-year-old man in North York over the weekend.

Officers say they were called to Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue around 6:19 a.m. Saturday for a report of a man with serious injuries in the roadway.

According to the police, two men had a fight in front of the shopping area. During the fight, police said the suspect stabbed one of the men, who then fled the scene.

First responders performed life-saving measures on the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

In a statement released Tuesday, Toronto police said they are looking for Alfonso Corpuz, 67, of Toronto, who is wanted for second-degree murder.

The body is described as five feet six inches tall and 150 pounds with black hair.

Officers are urging people not to approach him if they believe he is armed and dangerous and to call 911 immediately instead.
