This halal restaurant in Toronto may be the only alcohol-free fine dining restaurant on King Street West.

There's a new restaurant in town that's already making some noise to stand out among its peers.

Signature Restaurant is the newest addition to King Street West and has made a name for itself by claiming to be the only street-side fine dining in the city's vibrant entertainment district.

With Ramadan ending on Wednesday and Lent behind us, this could be a great place for Toronto Muslims to gather and celebrate.

Restaurant owner Rasheed Hasan told Now Toronto that providing an alcohol-free dining experience in downtown Toronto is important to him and his community, and that he got into the restaurant business more than 40 years ago.

“I opened my first restaurant in 1979 at Faisal Steak House in Belleville Ontario when I was only 23 years old, so now the restaurant business is my passion and hobby,” he said.

“We're promoting a non-alcoholic environment because we're concerned about everyone's health, so we're promoting non-alcoholic spirits, beer and wine.”

I tried their Strawberry Daiquiri mocktail and found it refreshing and full of flavor.

The rest of the menu offers a wide selection including, but not limited to, premium steaks and 10 different pizza options at affordable prices.

In fact, my favorite items on the menu were the 16 oz delicious grilled steak and authentic flavor margherita pizza.

Its pastas are also made fresh daily, and its desserts are baked to order with the finest ingredients.

And that's not all it has to offer, the space is also decked out in modern decor, twinkling lights and is home to artwork from some of the city's most talented artists.
