Many major roads will be closed for Montreal and Laval drivers this weekend.

Papineau-Leblanc Bridge and part of Highway 19

The Papineau-LeBlanc Bridge and part of Highway 19 will be closed to traffic from April 12-15. The closure is necessary to replace the supports in the structure.

Highway 19 (Papineau) will be fully closed to traffic from 10:00 p.m. Friday until 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Highway 440 will be completely closed southbound between (Jean-Noel-Lavois) and Henri-Bourrassa Avenue, but access to St. Martin Boulevard will be available. will be possible.

There will be a northbound closure between Henri-Bourassa and Boulevard de la Concorde.

To travel from Montreal to Laval, drivers are encouraged to take the Pi-IX Bridge and the Mederique-Martin Bridge.

To get from Laval to Montreal, drivers must take the Pi-IX Bridge or the Louis-Bisson Bridge.

In addition, between April 12 and 22, highway 25 will be completely closed in both directions, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel.

The closure is necessary for inspection and maintenance of the ventilation towers.

Work is carried out in evening and night shifts.

Highway 25 to Montreal (including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel) will be closed to Highway 20 eastbound and Route 20 westbound, Route 132, La Prairie/US/Varennes, PE Trudeau Airport from Highway 20 and entrance. East Notre Dame Street.

The eastbound entrances to Sulinney Avenue between Dixon Street and Honore-Beaugrand Street will be closed 30 minutes before the freeway closes.

Also, Avenue Souligny west of Rue Honore-Beaugrand will be closed on April 12 from 10:30 p.m. to April 13. A detour will be established through Hochelaga Street.

Closures are carried out according to the following schedule:

from Friday to Saturday (at night) from 23.00 to 8.00;

from Saturday to Sunday (at night) from 23.00 to 9.00;

from Sunday to Monday (at night) from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.;

Monday to Thursday (evening and overnight) from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.;

Operation may be delayed, extended or canceled due to weather conditions or operating restrictions.

Detours may be temporarily marked and congested. The Ministry of Transport recommends that road users in the area allow extra time to reach their destination.
