Police say the shooting in Highwood was targeted

One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting in northwest Highwood.

Police and EMS were called to Hartford Road near Hendon Drive around 11pm Tuesday night for a report of a shooting.

According to police, when officers arrived, they found one person with a gunshot wound. They were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Officers can later be seen examining the grounds and lawn on the east side of the street.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Police believe it was a targeted incident.
