2024 Toronto Auto Show: Two Canadian Debuts From Toyota | Automotive news

Toronto, ON – The 2024 Toronto Auto Show opens its doors to the public this Friday, but to coincide with the event, Toyota hosted an evening to unveil two models for the first time in Canada: the Land Cruiser and Crown Signia SUV.

Brand new 2025 Toyota Crown Signia

It did the same with the new Camry, which was unveiled alongside the new Lexus GX SUV before the Montreal Auto Show in January.

Of course, we'll have a chance to revisit all of these models during our test drives later this year, but we wanted to highlight the event, especially since discovering the car in person always brings some thought.

Introducing the new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser

Land Cruiser
In the case of this SUV, which returned to Canada after an absence of more than 25 years (1996), the proportions and styling approach seen in the Lexus GX are evident. This shouldn't bother anyone – both models are slim.

Obviously, the price will be a factor in deciding whether this model will be successful, but we can expect the Land Cruiser to be popular, especially in a configuration with circular headlights at the front, which gives a nice nod to the past.

Crown Signia
As for the Crown Signia, it must be said that the proportions of the car are not strange compared to the Crown sedan, which is basically a tall car. We're dealing with a full-fledged SUV here, but it also feels like a tall, leggy wagon.

It's very elegant and the format should appeal again if the price doesn't match.

If you're in Toronto and plan to stop by the show, take a closer look at these new Toyotas and form your own opinion on their design.

One thing's for sure: they're a far cry from the bland, unimaginative Toyota designs of the 1990s and 2000s.
