1 in critical condition after workplace accident in Calgary: EMS

One person is in critical condition after a workplace incident in southeast Calgary Wednesday afternoon, according to EMS.

A spokeswoman said CityNews crews were called to an incident at a construction site on Legacy Grove SE around 1 p.m.

When EMS got there, crews began treating a man who was partially trapped under some construction infrastructure on an exposed foundation.

Calgary Fire extricated the victim before he was transported by ambulance to Foothills Hospital, according to EMS.
