The Forks River Run has reopened for skating

The Forks River Trail has officially reopened for skating after being closed late last month due to weather.

On Tuesday, The Forks announced the reopening of the Nestavea River Trail, saying crews are working through difficult conditions to clear and test the trail. Winnipeg 150 Winter Park ice rinks and trails are open for Winnipeggers to enjoy.

CTV News Winnipeg previously reported that the trail opened on January 25; however, it was closed on January 30 due to inclement weather.

For safety reasons, the Nestaveya trail is tested daily. Skaters are asked to follow all signs as only open areas are considered safe.
