Neil Young marks Toronto as the only Canadian stop on his 16-show Crazy Horse tour

TORONTO – Neil Young is taking his band Crazy Horse back on the road.

Nearly a decade after their last full-scale tour as a band, the 78-year-old said they are planning 16 shows in North America, including one in Toronto.

The Love Earth tour kicks off with two nights in San Diego on April 24th and 25th.

Stops like Phoenix, Austin, Atlanta and New York will follow in April and May. The tour marks its only Canadian date on May 20 at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday.

Young plans to use Ticketmaster's Face Value Exchange, a mobile-only system that limits ticket transfers to prevent secondary market scalpers from driving up resale prices.

In early 2019, Young and Crazy Horse reunited for a series of rare performances, their first in years. They played two shows in Winnipeg, where he launched his music career, but the full tour never materialized.

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Young said on his website that he was uncomfortable returning to live concerts. He pulled out of the 2021 Farm Aid Festival in Hartford due to health concerns, but has recently returned to live music and embarked on a solo acoustic tour last year.

The new tour kicks off after the vinyl version of Young and Crazy Horse's “Fu##in' Up” hits record stores on April 20. It will arrive in other formats on April 26.

Ticket buyers can receive a CD of the album at no additional charge.
