Gray Cup champion Alouettes sign four in CFL free agency – Winnipeg Free Press

MONTREAL – The Montreal Alouettes signed defensive ends Derek Wiggan and Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund on Tuesday, along with running back Sean Thomas Erlington and receiver Tevin Jones.

The moves came on the first day of CFL free agency. Wiggan, Adeyemi-Berglund and Erlington are Canadian, while Jones is American.

Wiggan joins the Alouettes after seven seasons with the Calgary Stampeders. The 6-foot-1, 303-pound Toronto native played in 117 career regular season games at Alberta, recording 147 tackles, three special teams tackles, 16 sacks, an interception and two forced fumbles, winning the 2018 Gray Cup.

The six-foot-two, 248-pound Adeyemi-Berglund spent the last three seasons with the Calgary Stampeders. The 27-year-old Dartmouth native has recorded 52 tackles, nine special teams tackles, 14 sacks and a forced fumble in 50 career CFL games.

The five-foot-nine, 217-pound Erlington returns to his hometown after six seasons with Hamilton. Earlington played in 65 regular-season games with the Tiger-Cats, rushing for 1,170 yards on 191 carries and recording 63 catches for 631 yards and three touchdowns.

Earlington played collegiately at the University of Montreal under head coach Danny Macchiocchia, currently the GM of the Alouettes.
