Travel Texas comes to Toronto: “We're excited to be back in Canada”

The Travel Texas team was in Toronto last week to share the latest news and also celebrate the return of the Houston Rockets to Scotiabank Arena to host the Toronto Raptors.

“We're excited to be back in Canada,” said Debra Bustos, Texas Governor's Office and event host. “In 2022, 475,000 Canadians will explore Texas; and our numbers appear to be almost back to pre-pandemic levels.”

Canada, Bustos adds, is the state's second-largest international visitor market. In 2022, Canadians stayed an average of seven nights and spent $383 million.

More than 60% of Canadian travelers arrived by air, with direct flights from Calgary, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver on Air Canada, American Airlines, United Airlines and WestJet.
