Toronto Pearson flights canceled due to winter storm

Several flights in and out of Toronto Pearson International Airport were canceled Tuesday as a “powerful” winter storm is expected to hit parts of the United States and Canada.

A winter storm in the northeastern United States will bring strong winds and heavy snow to the region, canceling flights from New York, New Jersey, Boston and Philadelphia to Toronto, the airport said in a statement on Tuesday.

North of the border in Nova Scotia, another storm could bring up to 25 cm of snow to the Halifax area by the afternoon. In turn, 12 flights between Halifax Stanfield and Toronto Pearson were also canceled.

Travelers to or from Pearson can check in advance for any delays or cancellations on the airport's website. There was no delay in publishing.
