SQ found two charred bodies after a house fire in western Quebec

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) said two people died in a house fire in Bowman, Outaouais, on Sunday.

Authorities found two bodies in the rubble of a house in a small municipality 55 kilometers north of Gatineau.

The fire broke out at 8 am on Sunday and three people managed to escape.

It took firefighters several hours to put out the fire.

SQ Sgt Maryte Bolduc said autopsies would be carried out to identify the two victims.

The investigation is also aimed at determining the cause of the fire.
