Police have made several arrests in the Yonge-Eglinton area for alleged sexual assault

Toronto police have arrested a suspect in a string of sexual assaults that took place in the area of ​​Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue West over the course of several weeks.

According to investigators, these events took place between Sunday, January 14, 2024 and Sunday, February 11.

In each case, police said, a man approached a woman who was passing by and sexually assaulted her.

Three women came forward, one of whom said she had been hurt twice by the same man in two days.

Jahmore Azziz Walker-White, 31, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with five counts of sexual assault, five counts of breach of probation and one count of criminal harassment.
