ADA, Okla. — LegalShield has appointed communications veteran Robert Toev as Chief Communications Officer. In this role, Toews is responsible for developing a robust external and internal communications function for the Oklahoma-based legal services provider.

He will report to LegalShield CEO Warren Schlichting.

With more than 20 years as a corporate communications executive in the technology, telecommunications and media spaces, Toews built a full-service corporate communications function for DISH Network Corporation during a transformational period for the company. Under his leadership, he helped launch a category-first launch with Sling TV, guided communications as the company entered the wireless market, supported strategic initiatives and launched the company's first corporate social responsibility initiative.

Prior to DISH, Toevtar held senior communications roles at Qwest Communications, serving as finance, labor and crisis spokesperson, leading the organization's strategic communications portfolio and overseeing its market communications and internal communications teams.

Prior to his current appointment, Toews served as a Senior Advisor to LegalShield's management team. In his new role as a member of the executive team, he will be instrumental in shaping the conversation for LegalShield and IDShield, the company's identity protection products.
