A fire broke out near a gas station in St. Andre, Montreal

A fire broke out in a building on rue Saint-Andre near rue Sherbrooke in Montreal on Monday.

The building caught fire is very close to the gas station, so far it is not known whether there are any victims.

Firefighters began extinguishing the fire around dawn.

The Montreal Fire Department said it was a two-alarm fire and power outages were possible in the area.

Ontario Street closed to traffic at Atateken Street, Montreal secured the perimeter.
