Moose Jaw Warriors beat Calgary Hitmen 5-2 GeoTv News

Calgary defeated Moose Jaw on Saturday afternoon, but the Warriors defeated the Hitmen 5-2 in the Saddledome morning game.

It was the fourth annual Every Child Matters, an event presented by Siksika Health Services, Calgary Aboriginal Friendship Centre, Blackfoot Federation, First Nations Health Federation and Siksika Family Services.

The game aims to empower the next generation of Indigenous youth through sport, and the Killers wore unique orange jerseys.

Brandon Gorzynski and Maksim Muranov scored for the Hitmen, but Brayden Schuurman, Cosmo Wilson, Raylen Kovacevic, Calem Parker and Brayden Yager scored for the Warriors.

The Killers beat the Warriors 37-35 on the day.

Calgary is now on a five-game road trip in Red Deer starting Tuesday when they face the Rebels at 7 p.m.
