A 40-year-old man died in hospital from a stab wound on the Toronto waterfront

A man has died from his injuries after being stabbed on a Toronto waterfront last month and the homicide remains under investigation.

Police were called to the area of ​​Lake Shore Boulevard West and Lower Spadina Avenue on January 11th around 8:20 p.m.

Allegedly, two people had an argument and one person stabbed the other. Emergency personnel performed life-saving measures on the victim before he was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

In an update on Monday, police said the victim died at the hospital from his injuries on Friday. He has been identified as 46-year-old Toronto resident Matthew Crosby.

Police said they were looking for a male suspect who fled the area at the time of the stabbing. He was six feet one inches tall, had a beard and wore a green hooded sweatshirt.
