The New York Islanders host the Calgary Flames on Saturday

The New York Islanders (22-17-12, the fourth in the metropolitan section) will receive Calgary Flames (24-22-5, fifth in the Pacific Division) this afternoon at UBS Arena. Head-to-head at 1:00 PM EST

On November 18, the Islanders defeated the Flames 5-4 to end their seven-game winless streak. It was a back-and-forth game that featured most of the Islanders' games during the November slide. The team lost a third-period lead, but this time survived overtime, and Oliver Wahlstrom beat Markstrom for the decisive goal in the shootout.

The Isles came back from a two-goal third-period deficit to beat the Flames 4-3 in OT last season at UBS Arena in November and later lose 4-1 in Calgary on Jan. 6.

However, after being healthy for two games, Alexander Romanov is sidelined with a lower body injury and Sebastian Aho will return to the line.
