Three windows on the first floor of an apartment building were broken during a confrontation on College Avenue earlier in the day. (News4.ca)

Officers remained on the scene throughout the day following the armed standoff and barricade on College Avenue, where three officers were shot and two suspects were arrested.

Winnipeg police released some information Saturday afternoon, but said they expected more information about the incident to be released soon.

The investigation is ongoing.
