Montreal Canadiens Rafael Harvey-Pinard suffered a lower-body injury against the Dallas Stars and will not return

Montreal Canadiens forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard will not return to Saturday's game against the Dallas Stars due to a lower-body injury.

Shortly after Montreal took a 1-0 lead early in the second period, Harvey-Pinard collided with teammate Joel Armia and appeared to suffer a knee injury. He struggled to get back to the bench and needed the trainer's help to get back to the locker room.

Harvey-Pinard was absent from Nov. 16 to Jan. 10 after missing two months early in the season with a lower-body injury.

The 25-year-old player has one goal and 7 points in 23 games this season.

He is in the first season of a two-year, $2.2 million contract.

A seventh-round pick (201st overall) by the Canadiens in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Harvey-Pinard made his NHL debut on December 28, 2021 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, where he scored his first NHL goal.

The Saguenay, Que. Participated in 62 games in the NHL and scored 16 goals with 28 points.
