Man wanted for attack at Pape metro station

Toronto police are asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted for assault with a weapon.

On January 14, police were called to Pape metro station to report an attack.

At approximately 9:45 p.m., a 19-year-old man was allegedly walking westbound on the Bloor-Danforth line near the Pape subway station.

The suspect hit the man from behind with a wooden object. While the suspect remained on board, the man was helped off the train by other passengers at Pape station.

The victim and the suspect did not know each other.

The suspect is a male, 35-40 years old, 5'8 tall, black hair and a full black beard. He is wearing a black winter jacket, a beige-yellow zip-up sweater, black pants, and black shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
