Canceling the event will leave skaters disappointed and enjoying their weekend of free skating

Dieppe Park is a popular destination in East York. It attracts more than 100 visitors every weekend to skate. Excitement turned to disappointment when visitors were met with a notice that the rink was closed due to inclement weather on Saturday.

After complaints from residents, the city authorities reopened the ice rink.

The City of Toronto has not updated its plans for the next free skating rink in East York.
