Canucks Zadorov suspended two games – Winnipeg Free Press

NEW YORK – The Vancouver Canucks will be without defenseman Nikita Zadorov for the final two games of their current NHL road trip.

The NHL Department of Player Safety suspended Zadorov for two games after checking Detroit Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond during the home team's 4-3 overtime win at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday.

Zadorov misses two without paying for a check at 4:07 of the second period. Zadorov was awarded a match penalty.

Under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement and based on his average annual salary, Zadorov will lose $39,062.50. The money goes to the players' emergency fund.
