There is reason to be concerned about the Winnipeg Jets offense

At one time, the Winnipeg Jets were the hottest team in the NHL, sitting atop the league standings. However, in the last few weeks, they have slowed down from their early season pace.

After Thursday night's 4-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Jets have lost five games and six of their previous eight. They went from leading the Central Division to losing out on home field advantage in the playoffs.

One of the team's main concerns heading into the trade deadline is their offense. Winnipeg scored four goals during this losing streak between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Pittsburgh Penguins. They also haven't scored a power play goal in their last five games. In fact, the Jets have only scored more than two goals in a game since beating the Columbus Blue Jets 5-0 on January 9th.

General manager Kevin Cheveldyeff tried to solve this problem by acquiring Sean Monahan from the Montreal Canadiens right in the middle of the All-Star break. However, it will take some time for the former Calgary Flame to find his footing with his new team.

As of Friday afternoon, the Jets (30-14-5) were third in the Central Division, three points behind the Dallas Stars, but also 11 ahead of the tied St. Louis Blues and Nashville Predators. for the fourth.

Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk give their thoughts on the Winnipeg offense on Friday's edition of Daily Faceoff LIVE.

Tyler Yaremchuk: I don't think Jets fans should worry. That power play will improve when Sean Monahan gets a little more comfortable. I think this is just a bit of a difficult patch.

Frank Seravalli: My concern isn't the goals they give up, it's the scoring that worries me. They really struggle to put the puck in the net. That part, I think they'll come back… I have legitimate concerns about their offense and their inability to produce on a consistent basis.
