The Outremont building, which was undergoing renovations, partially collapsed, and no one was injured

On Friday, a part of a residential building collapsed in the city of Outremont.

Part of the two-story building collapsed around 9:30 a.m. on Van Horn Avenue near Querbes, sending several pieces of debris onto the sidewalk.

Fortunately, no one was inside or outside the building at the time of the incident.

Many firefighters were on the scene during the morning hours, and Van Horn was completely closed to traffic between avenues Querbes and avenues de l'Epy.

The cause of the fall is unknown.
