London Airport offers more flights to Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver

It's going to be a hot summer at London International Airport.

This summer's flight schedule was released by the airport on Friday and includes increased flights from several airlines to several destinations.

Starting in May, Air Canada will reduce the number of flights from London to Toronto to four times a day. WestJet will also increase nonstop service between Forest City and Calgary with a daily flight in May. This will increase to double daily in early June.

“These flights offer great opportunities to connect to any destination in the world while enjoying a stress-free YXU travel experience and supporting your local airport,” the airport said in a statement.

Those who want to travel on a budget can also turn to low-cost airline Flair. It offers five weekly flights from London to Calgary and twice weekly flights from London to Vancouver starting in June.

A new charter route from London to Nashville, Tennessee is also coming to the airport. BST Vacations is offering a private charter vacation package from London Airport from September 26-29.

“We are excited to usher in a new era of travel with our exclusive charters at London International Airport,” said Rob Blows, Vice President of BST Vacations. “This is not your run-of-the-mill travel experience – food and drink is included in the flight and everything is delivered locally… Continental breakfast and in-flight meals are selected and prepared to order in the morning of the flight, beer. and the wine is sourced from local breweries and wineries.”

Focusing on local food and drink is a departure from regular in-flight offerings that are traditionally the airline's responsibility.
